Adult Training

Training courses traditionally offered in a classroom setting are now available through the E-Learning site on MyScouting.org. This allows users to take training courses online at their convenience and bookmark their place in a course thereby allowing them to return at a later date and complete the course.

You do not have to be a BSA member to take E-learning courses. However, if you are a member and wish for credit to appear on your member record, you will need to include your member id in your E-learning profile. If you are a member of Pack 836 and need to know what your member id is, please contact David Hawkesworth.

Youth Protection Training

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating a secure environment for our youth members.

Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers.

To take Youth Protection training go to myscouting.org and create an account.

New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins. Youth Protection Training must be completed every two years to remain current.

To be fully trained and earn the Trained Leader emblem, a new leader must complete basic training as outlined on the E-learning site. Once you have completed your training, please email your pack trainer and they will update the pack records.
